Asphalt Milling involves the removal of existing asphalt surface. This process is used to restore the surface to a specific grade and profile, free of bumps, ruts, wash- boarding and other imperfections. A milling machine is equipped with a cutter drum that has hundreds of cutting teeth to remove asphalt and move it. The teeth throw the milled asphalt to a conveyor to aid in its removal.
King Asphalt has a 2007 Wirtgen Milling Machine for your milling needs. It has a 450 horsepower Mercedes engine. It has a conveyor on front capable of loading trucks or wind rowing material on the side of the road for later use. Our machine has the capability of milling 2 feet, 3 feet, 4 feet, or 6.5 feet wide. We can mill to a depth of 12 inches.
