US 276 thru Caesar’s Head State Park

Image Caesar’s Head State Park is one of South Carolina’s most tranquil and aesthetically beautiful travel destinations. People from all walks of life and all areas of the Southeast make it a point to visit this scenic location when traveling, vacationing or taking a breather from everyday life. In a way, the viewpoints that are formed from experiencing this undisturbed mountain getaway aid in creating lasting impressions about the way South Carolina is regarded as a whole.

The rural and mountainous setting of this 3.0 mile stretch of US 276 presented many obstacles during construction. Some of these challenges were unpredictable rain patterns, traffic control through this intensely winding and steep roadway, and limited communications. However, with prior proper planning on King Asphalt’s end, work was completed in a timely, safety first oriented fashion- with no work zone accidents and a quality finished product.

The work performed included:

  • Asphalt Patching
  • 2.0’ Roadway Widening on Each Side Via Milling & Paving
  • Asphalt Surface Paving
  • Shoulder Building
  • Shoulder Barrow & Seeding
